When I started this journey to veganism my husband and children were shocked and concerned to put it lightly. Shocked because we always embarked on nutritional changes after discussion as a family and I’d made this decision in isolation. Concerned because I couldn’t tell them at the time how far I’d go.
Vegetarian?
Vegan?
Raw vegan?
Airatarian?
Oh yes, there were jokes to camouflage their frustration. Long story short it took months for all of us to adapt.
They settled on being meat reducers consuming fish and chicken. After being honest with myself, I accepted I had no desire to consume dairy or animals. Turns out there was one meal that would reunited us.

A compromise we could all agree on. Vegan for me but sweet for the whole family!
