Let Thy Food Be Thy Medicine

Don’t take my vegan membership card!

I have a confession. I’m vegan and I watched Forks Over Knives for the first time last night. I know that’s probably one of the first videos a new vegan should check out and I’m not sure why I’m just getting around to it. I knew about it, I just don’t know why I hadn’t watched. So last night I corrected the oversight. So what led me to it last night? My Twitter feed.

Forks Over KnivesFood Medicine

I don’t like to share this but I work in healthcare. I purposely don’t share it because I want to offer suggestions on the vegan lifestyle not provide health advice. The incredibly cool thing is Forks Over Knives demonstrates the connection between what we eat and disease so I don’t have too. I think we all know this information on some level but to see the concrete data is undeniable!

Have you watched? What are your thoughts?

Loved it. I too am a vegan who watched it for the first time just last week. I love this awareness and the fact that our society is finally questioning and investigating on our own the misleading claims of the healthcare system in terms of food and disease. I feel like we’ve gone through social waves of discovery and independence. Like society has worked together to prove something and to better inform the population about our health. Anyway, I found that the movie was well done and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in veganism or who wants to learn more about the truth of the health care system.

  2. I haven’t watched it, but I am always looking for interesting food documentaries to watch! I will give this one a go.

    1. Cool! It’s very revealing. Let me know what you think!
